    2009 House Bill 444 (Establishes Civil Unions)

    Introduced in the House on January 26, 2009, to extend the same rights, benefits, protections, and responsibilities of spouses in a marriage to partners in a civil union

    The vote was 33 in favor, 17 opposed and 1 not voting

     please make every effort to pass this bill in the senate.  We cannot pick and choose who has rights and who does not.  Religion itself is and option but civil rights are never optional in this democracy.
