    Education

Abe Lincoln learned by candle light.  "Things" are not necessary for children to learn.  It's the desire of a child to learn and the PARENT RESPNSIBILITY to nurture that desire.

Teachers should be hired only if they CAN teach.  If a teacher cannot control their class or obtain results with the students, they must be terminated and or re assigned.

Successful teacher must be rewarded. If not with salary, then with assistants (the teachers who are unsuccessful in their own classes) and a larger budget.  Successful teacher should have larger classes and have as many aids and budget as s/he wants.

If a child is unwilling to learn, s/he must be allowed to NOT attend school.  The entire responsibility of a child’s attendance and learning attitude must be on their parents.

Just because a child is required by law to attend school doesn’t mean the school is required to “MAKE” him/er learn.

You can lead a horse to water, but your CAN’T make him drink.

    Re: Education

I agree... sometimes its the lack of parent involvement and discipline that is the root of the problem.

Have you read GRIH's report on DOE called 'Less for More'?

    Re: Education

I totally agree with you as parents not only give birth to child but also bear the responsibility to bring up a child into a good human being!

If they will not educate their child in a good manner he will not be responsible in his future life!!
